Volunteers are essential for the delivery of the SCCA’s community services to elderly members of the Spanish-speaking community in Sydney. As a volunteer, you will gain practical experience working in the social services sector and personal satisfaction from helping people in need. Students of Español will have the opportunity to practice your language skills and form relationships with Spanish-speaking Australians.

Volunteers for the SCCA will receive training and support to provide any the following services for a few hours each week.

  • Home visiting to provide social contact to isolated clients
  • Accompanying clients to an appointment
  • Maintaining regular telephonic contact
